Two Peas in a Bucket is the number one scrapbooking site on the Web—its visitors contribute mountains of content and over 20 million page views a month. In this site redesign, Acro Media enabled Two Peas—as its affectionately called—to create and nurture a prodigiously productive virtual community who habitually return to the site—to learn, to share and to shop.
Interactive functions include a password-restricted members' section with profiles and galleries, blogs and forums. Super-friendly ecommerce results in healthy online sales of scrapping supplies. With all this Web 2.0 functionality, this is definitely a community site on the cutting (and pasting and binding) edge!
Results: increased performance on every front. Ecommerce sales increased due to easier interface and better navigation; new memberships increased due to compelling CTAs and simplified access; 'hard-core' site veterans were happy that advanced functionality not only remained but was improved. As Abraham Lincoln said (while allegedly scrapbooking): "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."
