| Acro Media moves into 5th year of operation |
|
|
Acro Media is proud to begin its foray into its fifth year. This special milestone for young companies is made even more so by Acro's ongoing success, new products, services, and survival in a challenging market place. 2002 saw the release of several new products that improve the merchantability and interactivity of Web sites. These include software for managing and selling a catalog of products online, tools for setting up and moderating a discussion board, sharing files, and reaching a mailing list of clients with HTML enriched emails. To learn more about the products and solutions Acro Media has developed, please visit the Solutions section of our corporate Web site.
The focus on the year ahead is on growth, taking the skills learned and applying them to improving customer service and reaching new geographic areas. Though Acro Media has cut it's teeth, there is even more willingness to learn and to achieve. We look forward to working with you in 2003.

> Image is (almost) Everything
Just before Christmas my wife and I were searching the Internet for a company to deliver a Christmas food hamper to her parents in England. After hours of comparing cheese, olive and chocolate combinations we had narrowed our possibilities down to a couple of companies who seemed to offer good value for money. As in many cases it is simple to narrow our choice down, but difficult to know exactly what to base our final decision on. We decided it was important to buy from the company who appeared to be the most established and reliable. Without discussing the criteria for determining this we both selected the company with the more professional looking Web site and purchasing solution.
The reason both my wife and I decided on the same company is not because we always agree. As consumers we both feel comfortable with a company who appears to be more concerned with their image and being a good company than they are anxious to get hold of my credit card details. Because the Internet has often removed the personal aspect of the decision process, we can't rely on the old "People buy from People" approach. More often than not, our decision is based on what we see.
So do I believe that image is everything? No, but I do believe that image is very important when it comes to building confidence in your customers that you are a company who can be trusted and... your Web site is your image.

> Product Focus: StoreBox
Responding to client demand, Acro Media has created and continually improved its Web enabled Catalog software: newly titled "StoreBox". StoreBox has been specifically designed to be integrated seamless with an existing or newly developed Web site.
The StoreBox software allows the Web site owner to add, edit and remove products via an easy to use Web site manager. Products can have a unique description, part number and price. Additional fields such as size, weight or warranty can also be added. Products can also have multiple pictures associated with it. Also, main and sub categories can be used to organize products, all of which may be modified directly by the Web site owner.
Coupled with StoreBox is a secure shopping cart and checkout system. Real-time order processing is possible with Acro Media's Stage Two ecommerce. When an order is placed, StoreBox will email the Web site owner notifying them that an order has been placed. StoreBox also sends the customer an email, confirming their order. The buyer is never forwarded or redirected to a different Web site or URL — this is key to providing buyer confidence online.
If your customer decides to buy, you want them to act immediately on that decision. Providing them with that ability right at your Web site can have a positive effect on your bottom line.
