Tweaking Recipes for Online Success

New Keyword Tool From Google
Finally, new Keyword data from Google! It is well known that search engine optimization (SEO) combined with paid Internet ads (like Google's CPC AdWords) provides some of the best value-for-money for every marketing dollar spent. The key to both these strategies is, no surprise, finding great keywords.
Until now, however, the biggest search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.) did not release keyword search data except in imprecise summaries within their keyword tools. One had to get it from other sources (and often pay for it) like wordtracker.com or keyworddiscovery.com.
Not anymore—Google quietly released a major data-upgrade to their keyword tool: exact keyword search patterns with monthly averages and annual trends. Try it out for free at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and see what terms are big in your domain of interest.
Keeping Content King: Drupal Sites Launch
Acro Media is pleased as all get-out to announce the launch of these sites, each equipped with Drupal content management that empowers their administrators to tailor and tweak, enhance and expand, all by themselves:
Horseman's U - Equestrian Site out of the Gate
Content-packed, multimedia-rich Horseman's U is a destination for the seriously equine-oriented. Free membership wins access to video, audio and articles featuring top-level trainers and clinicians, interactive polls and surveys, regional event posting and signup, email newsletters—even discounted onsite shopping.
Site owner/horse expert April Reeves relies on content and ad management to grow the membership and provide outstanding value to advertisers. In her own words: "The ability for a single person to run a site this size is mind-boggling. The CMS capability reduced the overall cost of the project by removing the need to hire outside resources."
Game Politics - "Where Gaming and Politics Collide"
Gamers comprise nearly half of all Americans, and spend—get this—$10 billion annually on their gaming passion. This is the fourth Acro Media-crafted site for non-profit gamer advocate group The Entertainment Consumers Association. By this point, we're so experienced we're practically game for anything.
Element Four - Facing Up to the Dry Facts
Global warming, skyrocketing food costs, and exhausted energy reserves: trivial challenges compared to an impending global water shortage? Environmentalists warn that by 2025, up to a third of the earth's nine billion will lack sufficient drinking water.
The WaterMill is Element Four's brilliant solution for the average family home. It draws in moisture from the outside air and transforms it into 12 litres of absolutely pure drinking water daily. The Web site solution ensures that this brilliant technology makes a splash in its debut to a thirsty world.
On the Ecommerce Front
Books For Christ
With a huge catalog and clunky backend, administering their old ecommerce site required the patience of a saint. The completely redesigned Books for Christ provides admin easy and flexible management, and visitors and members divine shopping—miraculous considering the 180,000 item catalog!
GreenEdge Kids
There's "edgy", sustainable, organic and eco-friendly clothes for little ones at GreenEdge Kids' state-of-the-art online store. Though not Drupal, the site's powerful backend lets admin keep the store fresh and sales brisk. An opt-in newsletter option helps them nurture an ever-growing (unbleached, free range, spray-free) customer base.
Free Flight—Acro Media Crafts Pro Bono Web Site for Aviation Museum
Acro Media has freely provided a Web site redesign for The Canadian Museum of Flight, a non-profit, volunteer driven museum dedicated to restoring, preserving and showcasing Canada's aviation heritage. Drupal CMS flexibility lets them fly solo, adding, editing or deleting content and pages, and even revising navigation. Launching soon and destined to take off.
Orange Hand, Green Mind
Indoor bike parking, rabid recycling, unbleached paper towel so coarse we could sand down rough-hewn timber with it
in our continuous efforts to green it all up, Acro Media recently swapped out the last of our CRT monitors for LCDs, said to use 66% less energy. We don't miss the old clunkers
even if they kept us tanned and healthy looking year-round.
